Armstrong Edge Premier
NEW FOR 2026-2027 SEASON
The Armstrong Arrows “Edge” Premier Program provides an elite developmental experience for 10U and 12U players, blending the proven structure of our own National Bound program with the best practices seen in successful Birth Year models across youth hockey. This mixed-year program focuses on advanced skill development, competitive team play, and leadership growth, creating a strong foundation for players preparing to advance into the Arrows National Bound pathway at the 14U, 16U, and 18U levels.
With professional coaching, advanced on and off ice training, and a comprehensive player experience, the “Edge” Premier Program delivers everything required to develop and compete at a high level, all in one inclusive package. Players benefit from mentorship with National Bound athletes, access to performance tools like HUDL video review, and participation in a full season of league and tournament play. The program emphasizes character, commitment, and teamwork, giving every athlete the Edge they need to succeed both on and off the ice.
Armstrong Arrows Teams are proud members of the Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey League (PAHL).

Ages
10U Edge Team - Players who turn 9 & 10 years old this calendar year.
12U Edge Team - Players who turn 11 & 12 years old this calendar year.

Where
The Armstrong Arrows PAHL Birth Year Teams are based and operated from: The Belmont Complex located at 415 Butler, Rd., Kittanning, PA 16201
Practices
Practices will be held at the Belmont Complex.
Birth Year Teams will practice two times per week.
Games
The Armstrong Arrows Edge Premier Teams will participate in the PAHL season and other USA Hockey sanctioned games and tournaments, at the coaching staff's discretion.
UNIFORMS
Arrows player uniforms consist of home / away jerseys, socks, and shell . Each player will be required and responsible for the purchase and care of their Arrows uniform. Costs associated with their uniform are not included in the season fee (Approximately $210). Please see policies for more information.
Costs - Payments / Payment Plans / Fundraising
All payments will be made online through the online registration via a scheduled payment schedule. A pay in full option will be available as well as a payment plan option. There is a an additional $50 added to payment plans due to transaction fees. The league may choose to do mandatory fundraising during the season to ensure that adequate operating funds are available. The opportunity for additional individual fundraising credit to offset individual player fees may also be available.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my child have to pay to register again if they are not offered a spot on the “Edge” Premier team?
No. Your registration will automatically roll over to the next AAHL tryout that is age-appropriate for your player. There’s no need to pay or register again.
Are the “Edge” Premier teams essentially Birth Year teams?
Not exactly. The “Edge” Premier teams are billed as mixed-year teams within each age division. However, if the player pool at tryouts happens to align by birth year, the roster could naturally function as a birth-year team.
What is an Arrows “Edge” Premier team?
All of our teams are Arrows branded. The “Edge” Premier program is designed to provide a higher level training and competition environment that more closely mirrors the Arrows National Bound program and birth year team models.
It offers players increased commitment expectations, enhanced development opportunities, and a more competitive training structure.
2026-2027 Season

If registering before April 1, 2026, your USA Hockey Confirmation Number will not be required to complete the online registration. You will be required to upload your 2026-2027 USA Hockey Confirmation Number to the AAHL Website as soon as USA Hockey Registration opens for the 2026-2027 Season.
If registering after April 1, 2026, your USA Hockey Confirmation Number for the 2026 - 2027 season will be required to complete the online registration.

AAHL reserves the right to hold supplemental tryouts to fill any & all open roster positions post open tryouts.
AAHL will adhere to all policies of USA Hockey and Mid Am in regards to tryout dates.
PAHL Team Placement:
AAHL will make a placement recommendation, but the PAHL determines the final placement of ALL teams in the league. AAHL cannot guarantee the level of play for any team playing in PAHL.
