Belmont Ice Situation - Update
Good Morning Parents,
My name is Nick Mish and I am the newly appointed Hockey Director.
First of all, I want to thank you for being patient with us during this time. As you all know we had the ice go down a couple weeks ago and have been working diligently to find the answer. We had a meeting last night and received some great news which we wanted to share with you. At the end of October, we will have ice at the Belmont rink for the rest of the season. Once the season has ended, they will be doing the permanent fix and replacing the floor for next season.
As far as practices go, I will be coordinating with a couple rinks to get all teams at least 1 ice touch per week. Please be aware that ice is very scarce. I should have these schedules out to the coaches in the next couple days. Remember this is just temporary for the month of October. We are recommending coaches offer dryland and classroom session along with on ice.
We will be having a parent meeting for all on September 29th at 4pm. This will take place near the skate sharpening booth at the Belmont.
Thank you all again and good luck to all of you this season!
